This past weekend I did something that we always tell our kids not to do- I left my home, drove to Toronto, and met people that i met over the internet!
You see I’m on Twitter and there are these women the i tweet with on a regular basis and they decided to get together to do a 15KM run. Well before long there were a bunch of us that decided we wanted in. You see I think the big draw was that there was also to be a beer tent. As the weeks past there was more and more talk about the beer tent and all of us finally meeting. Every once in a while someone would spoil the fun and remind everyone that there was in fact a race involved in this whole meet up.
I meet two of my team mates, Kelli and Candace, on Friday as we were driving to Toronto together. After a little (read here- a lot) shopping on Saturday the rest of our team mates started arriving. Marcy, Jill, Wanda, Moe, Natalie, Lindsay, Alyson, Racheal, Erica, and Evelyn. After getting acquainted and taking some pictures it was down the the race site were we still had Lisa and Sharon to meet up with.
The race went well an all girls made it across the finish line safely. Now it was on to the beer tent!
Ladies I had so much fun this weekend and enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. I look forward to your tweets now more than ever and I look forward to doing it all again- soon hopefully.
